From Collection Lasting Perfection concealer that 2015 Zoella recommended in her weekly YouTube videos, to Charlotte Tilbury’s contour wands recommended and popularised by influencers recently on Tik Tok; makeup trends develop and improve over time. Heavy makeup looks in 2016, to the ‘Clean Girl’ minimalist makeup admired at the moment. I have definitely had my fair share of the dark liquid lipsticks and thicker eyebrows. As you mature and develop, you generally get to know yourself better and can discover what suits you most. I still sometimes do love a touch of eyeshadow and liquid liner here and there, but I no longer fill my eyebrows or go for heavy lipsticks. However, this may change! Right now I feel comfortable with what I use that allows me to feel confident and secure; and hopefully will not make me look back in five years’ time and think… YIKES! WHAT WAS I THINKING!

L'OREAL Infallible Concealer

Firstly, the ‘Loreal Infallible’, is a high-coverage, long-wearing concealer, in my eyes, is a great dupe for the ‘Tarte Shape-tape’ concealer. Found in most high-street beauty stores for a great price of £9.99! I wear mine either with foundation, tinted moisturiser or on its own. Even wearing the product on its own there is still a good amount of coverage.
MORPHE Powder

To set your makeup, the Morphe setting powder creates a perfect base ready for contour. I picked mine up from the Sephora website for £14.00.
BENEFIT Hoola Bronzer

Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer! One product I have decided to use for years and keep topped up in my makeup bag. This is my favourite bronzer I have ever tried, it is not too heavy, creates a gorgeous natural bronzy glow over your skin and lasts for a really long time! You can pick it up in Boots for either £30 (full size) or for £15.50 (mini).
RARE BEAUTY Blush and Highlighter

The Rare Beauty liquid blush and highlighter has only recently been incorporated into my makeup routine, as I wanted to try liquid products for blush and highlight, to build that natural, glowy feel to my makeup. I had seen many influencers going crazy for the blush, so I gave into the trends and bought them to try! Not only was the colour range absolutely beautiful on the shelves, but the packaging has such a unique, luxurious feel to them. In the blush I own ‘Hope’, and the ‘Mesmerise’ highlighter. ‘Hope’ being a gorgeous, pop of rose and ‘Mesmerise’ being a glistening glow with a subtle hint of pink; both working well hand in hand. ‘Hope’ £22, ‘Mesmerise’ £24.
R.E.M BEAUTY Mascara

R.E.M Beauty! A new, emerging beauty brand, that are still fresh in the beauty world. Ariana Grande’s makeup brand that many of us were excited to get our hands on and see the range of products she has created! Of course, she created a winged eyeliner as part of the collection, paying homage to her iconic cat wing liner during shows, but she also produced alongside her eye products, an incredible, lengthening mascara that is not at all clumpy. This retails for £15, in Selfridges or Sephora.
KIKO Lipglosses

And last but not least, finishing with a lip gloss! Like I previously stated, darker lipsticks or liquid lips were something I experimented with, but now I love a gloss, they finish off nicely the glowly makeup I try to achieve! I prefer darker shades of gloss for nights out, or evenings and pinker, blush tones for daytime! I have found through trial and error, KIKO do some of the best, long-lasting lip glosses that are so reasonably priced, it’s impossible to not have a huge collection. Whether you like a hint of sparkle on your lip, or simply just a clear gloss, you can purchase them for just £10.99 each in a KIKO store.
